Mysuru: The first phase of Bommanahalli lake development work, taken up by Reserve Bank of India (RBI), as part of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), is complete and RBI is all set to take up the second phase of work.
RBI officials, who took part in the CSR progress review meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner (DC) D. Randeep here yesterday, said that with the first phase of works complete, they will be taking up the second phase works shortly.
The DC directed the MCC, which has been entrusted with the responsibility of executing the works, to complete the work within the set time-frame.
The first phase of works included strengthening of the tank bund, blocking entry of drainage water to the lake and creation of walkway on one side of the tank.
The second phase of work to be taken up includes creation of walkway on the other side and filling the lake with clean water.
The RBI has also plans to develop the road in front of the RBI Note Printing Press, in association with the local Gram Panchayat, maintenance of parks and providing facilities to Anganwadi Centres during 2017-18.
RBI General Manager Thakur Desai, DIC Joint Director H. Ramakrishnegowda and other officials attended the meet.
