First time voter’s woes

March 9, 2018

Sir,

Since I have completed 18 years of age, I submitted my details for inclusion of my name in the voters’ list on 29th Dec.2017.

The zonal office of MCC gave a piece of unsigned paper as acknowledgement. Though announcement of dates for Karnataka elections are due anytime, youngsters like me are anxious to vote for the first time.

Despite several ‘pilgrimage’ to the MCC zonal office, there is no confirmation when the voter identity card will be sent to the new voters. It is requested that authorities concerned take immediate action to send the cards to the voters and justify the claims that this govt. is efficient and pro-people as claimed in various advertisements in the media.
