It may be recalled that hundreds of fish of various species, especially the Mahseer, at the boating pond were found dead and floating in the pond on Oct.31, due to toxic bait used by the miscreants to fish illegally, according to the reports of the Fisheries Department, which had lodged a  Police complaint.

Following the complaint, the Police have registered cases pertaining to the loss, poisoning and trespassing. Sources said that miscreants had mixed copper sulphate with food and had dropped the food in the water which the fish had consumed resulting in their deaths.

KRS Police, who are investigating, said that the miscreants would be brought to book soon
