Five leopards from Thyavarekoppa Lion Safari in Shivamogga find home at Mysuru Zoo

Mysuru: A leopard and four leopardess, which were in excess at Thyavarekoppa Lion Safari of Shivamogga Wildlife Division, have been handed over to the Mysuru Zoo here.

The five wild cats were handed over to Mysuru Zoo following instructions from the Central Zoo Authority (CZA), New Delhi and Additional Principal  Chief Conservator of  Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden, Karnataka, Bengaluru.

According to the press release from Mysuru Zoo Executive Director C. Ravishankar, the five wild cats have been kept in Chamundi Wildlife Conservation and Rescue Centre at Koorgalli here and their health condition is stable.
