Mysuru: With the deadline for withdrawing of nomination papers coming to a close yesterday, five candidates have remained in the fray for MCC Ward 32 by-poll scheduled to take place on July 2.

SBM Manju of JD(S), K. Madesh of BJP, B.K. Prakash of Congress, Mangalamma of Bharatiya Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Janata Party and  B.J. Mahabalaraj, an independent, are the candidates who will contesting the July 2 by-poll. The Ward is witnessing a keen triangular fight between SBM Manju of JD(S), K Madesh of BJP and B.K. Prakash of the Congress, who is an ex- Mayor of the city.

With the poll date fast approaching, the candidates have stepped up campaign, visiting houses and organising public meetings.
