Mysore/Mysuru: In the wake of Assembly polls scheduled to take place on May 10 and in a bid to maintain law and order situation in city, M. Muthuraj, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) – Law and Order, who is also the Special Executive Magistrate, has passed an order banishing five rowdy-sheeters from city for a period ranging from four to five months.

These rowdy-sheeters have various cases pertaining to indulging in illegal activities and disturbing peace in city registered against them at various Police Stations across the city and hence an order has been passed on Mar. 29 banishing them from city for a certain period of time.

The rowdy-sheeters, who have been banished are, 19-year-old Yashwanth, a resident of No. 4, 1st Block, NURM Apartments at Mahadevapura in J.P. Nagar. He has been banished from city to Shivamogga district for a period of four months. He has three cases registered against him and inquiry is underway.

Subhan, a resident of No. 87 in Belavatta 1st Stage, Kesare, who has eight criminal cases registered against him at Narasimharaja and Mandi Police Stations and still indulging in criminal activities, has been banished to Chikkaballapur district for a period of four months.

N. Krishna, a resident of 3rd Main, Dewan’s Road, who has seven cases registered against him at various Police Stations in city but still continuing criminal activities, has been banished to Davangere district for a period of five months.

Syed Ayub, residing behind Shabnam Function Hall, Shahid Masjid Cross in Rajivnagar 2nd Stage, who has about 14 cases registered against him at various Police Stations in city and various districts and still continuing his criminal activities, has been banished to Chikkamagalur district for five months.

Tousif Khan, a resident of No. 3241/4, 4th Cross, Mohammed Sait Block in Lashkar Mohalla, who has eight cases registered against him at various city Police Stations and still continuing in illegal and unlawful activities, has been banished to Chikkaballapur district for five months.

Meanwhile, City Police Commissioner B. Ramesh has warned rowdy elements to refrain from indulging in unlawful activities which disturb the law and order situation in city and mend their ways. The City Top Cop has warned of banishing them from city if they continue with illegal activities, according to a press release from the Public Relations Officer (PRO), City Police Commissioner’s Office.
