Mysuru: In recognition of her significant service, contributions and achievements in the tourism sector, Shashikala Ashok, Hon. Joint Secretary, WISE-Women Wing of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Mysuru, has been conferred with the prestigious FKCCI Tourism Award-2026.  

The honour was presented in recognition of the valuable services rendered by Shashikala towards the growth of Karnataka’s tourism sector and her efforts to promote the Indian culture and tradition abroad on a wider platform.

The award was presented to Shashikala Ashok at a ceremony organised by the prestigious Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI), Bengaluru, recently.

The award was presented in the presence of Umareddy, President of FKCCI and the distinguished chief guests M.R. Seetharam, MLC, Chairman and Managing Director of M.S. Ramaiah Developers and Builders Pvt. Ltd. and P.K. Murugan, President, JSW Steel, Vijayanagar.

Among the several achievers who received the awards, Shashikala of Mysuru was the only woman achiever, making the recognition a matter of particular pride.
