Mysuru: Minister for Primary and Secondary Education Tanveer Sait has said that flavoured milk will be supplied to school children under ‘Ksheera Bhagya’ scheme. Addressing Sahukar Chennaiah Block Congress workers meeting at Shikshakara Bhavan here on Sunday, Sait said that the authorities are considering to provide flavoured milk under the scheme from Nov.1 as most students are reluctant to drink plain milk.
Pointing out that Mysuru and Raichur districts have been selected for the pilot project to supply flavoured milk, the Minister said that the Government will think of supplying flavoured milk to schools across the State, if positive results are derived from the pilot project. Explaining the achievements of the Congress Government, Sait said that Chief Minister Siddharamaiah should be credited for introducing many welfare schemes such as Anna Bhagya, Ksheera Bhagya etc.
