Folk and light music event in city tomorrow

City-based Jana Chaitanya Foundation is organising a folk and light music programme titled ‘O Nanna Chetana, Aagu                                                Nee Aniketana’ at Nadabrahma  Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road in the city tomorrow from  4.30 pm. Addressing a press conference in the city yesterday, Foundation President R. Lakshman said the musical programme will be inaugurated by Joint Director of Kannada and Culture Department V.N. Mallikarjunaswamy.

President of District Sugama Sangeetha Parishat Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy will preside. Tribal leader and Padma Shri awardee Somanna will be felicitated. Senior journalist Amshi Prasanna Kumar,  Asst. Director of Kannada and Culture Department Dr. M.D. Sudarshan, Social Worker K. Raghuram Vajpayee, District President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat Maddikere Gopal and others will also participate.

Folk Singer Amma Ramachandra, Joyce Vaishak, Pushpalatha Shivakumar, Y.M. Nagendra, H.S. Raviraj, Sowmya Prakash and others will present folk and light music songs.
