Food and medicine kits, vaporisers distributed

Mysore/Mysuru: Coming to the aid of needy people in trying times, political leaders, various organisations, NGOs, associations and individuals have lent a helping hand by donating food and medicines, vaporisers and other essentials in city.

Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Abivrudhi Sahakara Sangha has donated 206 vaporisers to Mysuru District Journalists Association (MDJA) to be distributed among journalists. DCP (Law&Order) Dr. A.N. Prakash Gowda handed over the vaporisers to MDJA in the presence of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Abivrudhi Sahakara Sangha President C.G. Gangadhar, MDJA General Secretary A. Subramanya, City Vice-President M.S. Basavanna, City Secretary P. Rangaswamy, Akhila Karnataka Vokkaliga Mahasabha President N. Bettegowda, Nagendra, Bharat and Ravikumar.

Mysuru District Wrestlers Association on Sunday distributed ration kits to senior and junior wrestlers who are financially weak. The kits were distributed near Sahukar Chennaiah Stadium by Wrestling Coach Pailwan Srinivasagowda, Mysuru Dasara Wrestling Sub-Committee former President Pailwan Doregowda and others. Pai. R.K. Ravi, Pai. Chota Rafiq, Pai. Chandrashekar, Pai. Ramesh, Pai. Venkatesh, Pai. Shivu Hosahalli, Pai. Tabrez Patan, Pai. Suputra and others were present.

Sri Siddalingeshwara Swamy Samithi Trust and Ward 21 Corporator C. Vedavathi distributed food packets to labourers and the needy at Kukkarahalli on Sunday. Samithi Member Sunil, BJP leader Shivashankar, leaders Mahadevu, Vinod, Shankar, Naveen Kukkarahalli and others were present on the occasion.

Naveen Kumar Yuva Balaga distributed grocery and medicine kits near Ganabharathi in Kuvempunagar to the needy people. Congress leader M.N. Naveen Kumar, social worker K. Raghuram Vajpayee, Himalaya Foundation President N. Ananth, Secretary Harshavardhan, SVM Foundation President M.V. Nagendra Babu and others took part in the distribution.

Tibetan Monks donate towards COVID relief: Tibetan Monk Kundeling Rimpoche handed over a cheque for Rs. 3 lakh towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for COVID, to Mysuru District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar recently in the presence of Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji and others.

Kumbara Govt. Employees donate medical kits: On behalf of Karnataka State Kumbara Government Employees Welfare Association, Association President and retired Chief Engineer R. Srinivas handed over medical kits to be distributed to hospitals, to Mysuru District in-Charge Minister S.T. Somashekar at Suttur Mutt in city recently. Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji, former KPSC (Karnataka Public Service Commission) Member Dr. B.S. Krishna Prasad, Kumbara Mysuru District Employees Association President Dr. Govinda Shetty, K.P. Venkatesh, Kantharaj and others were present.

Rajasthani Samaj distributes groceries to daily wagers: Grocery kits were distributed to the houses of daily wagers at Ambedkar Pourakarmika Colony in Ward 23 (Subbarayanakere) by Rajasthani Samaj led by Corporator Pramila Bharath, leaders Kantilal Jain, social workers Anil and Manish. Ilai Alwar Swamiji, Bharat, Chamaraja Constituency BJP Yuva Morcha President R. Sachin, Chamaraja Constituency Mahila Morcha Vice-President Lakshmi, Ward BJP leader Sudarshan, Srinivas, Murugesh, Charan, Papanna, Ganesh, party workers and localites were present.
