Footpath dug up for no reason at Siddarthanagar

February 21, 2018

About 50 to 60 feet of the footpath on Ananda Marga near Ganapati Temple is dug up by removing the interlocking tiles for the reasons best known to those who dug it. Residents said that they were confused whether the temple staff or the MCC staff had dug the footpath and added that when they contacted AC Muralidhar several times he is said to have told them that he was very busy in Swachh Survekshan. There is a borewell on the footpath and the dug up portion was preventing many from fetching water from it. Authorities concerned are urged to take steps at the earliest.
