Footpath encroachment clearance drive in city

11 cases registered, Rs. 4,000 fine collected in two days

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysuru City Traffic Police, who have been conducting operations to clear encroachments on footpaths across the city, conducted the encroachment clearance drives on Aug. 10 and 11 and have registered a total of 11 cases besides issuing 11 notices and collecting a total fine of Rs. 2,000.

The drives were conducted by Devaraja, Narasimharaja, Siddarthanagar, Krishnaraja and V.V. Puram Traffic Police on Dhanvantri Road, Nelson Mandela Road, Mahadevapura Road, Ramavilas Road and Surya Bakery Road.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and ACP (Traffic) S.E. Gangadharswamy guided Inspectors and staff of all Traffic Police Stations in the encroachment clearance drives.
