Footpath shops cleared near Nanjumalige Circle

February 8, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Following several complaints from the public about petty shops encroaching footpaths near Nanjumalige Circle, the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) officials conducted an operation and cleared the petty shops on Thursday morning.

The MCC Zone-1 officials, who arrived at the spot along with two JCBs, tippers and Abhaya vehicles, cleared more than 25 petty shops that had encroached the footpath. The team, led by MCC Development Officer Nanjundaiah, cleared the footpath and carried away various                               materials in tippers.

MCC officials said that they were forced to act as the petty shop owners ignored the notice served to them three days ago for evacuating the shops, which had come up illegally on footpaths, blocking pedestrian movement.
