Mysuru: A student of a private Engineering College in city, who tried to commit suicide claiming that some people are forcing him to indulge in terrorist activities, is recuperating at Kumareshwar Hospital in Bagalkot.
Sharanappa Nagaral, who hails from Kodihal in Hungund taluk of Bagalkot, is a BE (Electrical) student of a Engineering College in Mysuru.
Nagaral, who attempted suicide by consuming poison on the outskirts of Gajendragad in Gadag on Friday evening, was reportedly found struggling for life at the NWKRTC bus depot in Gajendragad.
The depot employees called an ambulance and rushed him to a local hospital, from where he was shifted to Bagalkot’s Kumareshwar Hospital, where he is said to be out of danger.
In a letter written by Sharanappa, which the Police is said to have recovered during spot inspection, he has claimed that Ahmed Rafiq and Ismail of Mysuru were forcing and harassing him to indulge in terrorist activities from the last one-and-a-half-years and had taught him how to fix a bomb in the College.
Bagalkot SP C.B. Rishyanth visited the hospital and questioned Sharanappa.
“Sharanappa is just telling that some people were threatening him to indulge in terror activities. Prima facie, his statement seems to be false,” the SP said.
Sharanappa’s brother Hanumanth Nagaral said that Sharanappa’s mental health was not good and that he was suffering from distress and epilepsy. He was afraid of failing in the semester Exam and that’s why he attempted suicide, he added.
Meanwhile, the Police visited the Engineering College where Sharanappa is studying and collected information about him on Saturday.
According to the College authorities, Sharanappa joined BE Course in 2015 and had failed in a few subjects.
City Police Commissioner Dr. A. Subrahmanyeswara Rao said that there are no terrorist activities or threats in Mysuru. However, the Police have taken the incident seriously and are studying his death note, he said.
this is a serious issue and it looks the police have taken the issue very lightly. let the public knosw what action the police have taken about those two muslim boys ? whether are arrested and what are the findings ?
Vote bank appeasement is the root cause of such situations! This decease started by some ruling party congress members at the center during the Manmohan Singh era! As an easy option and also a political tool, any terror act was disposed as either 1. Accident or 2. Hindu terrorism sponsored by RSS! So, the sleeper cells flourished and were free todo without any consequences, whatever they wanted to do as they promised their masters to bleed India by 1000 cuts! The liberal media and ruling congress and pseudo secluarists joined hands to make sure the thousands cuts will be actually 2000 cuts to India! Corruption, scams and terrorism grew like epidemic proportions, yet news media was just spinning the news while the PM was silent.
Even now, the same saga continued in Gauri Lankesh murder while everyone concluded that it was RSS did it.
Under such circumstances real evidence can’t come out in the open as they themselves may be jailed for providing any real clues.
We can see that 2 states in the southern India are real furtile breeding grounds for terrorists, Karnataka and Kerala. Both are eager to blame any crime as “Hindu terror” . So, can anybody expect the truth to come out?
