Former HC Judge N.K. Patil passes away

Bengaluru: Former Karnataka High Court Judge Naganath Kanteppa Patil (N.K. Patil), who was known for his simplicity and humbleness, passed away at a Private Hospital at Hyderabad on Monday following brief illness. He was 70 and is survived by his wife and two sons.

Born at Nideban village in Bhalki taluk of Bidar district on May 2, 1954, Justice (Retd.) N.K. Patil, who studied Law at Bengaluru’s Renukacharya Law College, was appointed as a Karnataka HC Judge on Dec.11, 2000. Earlier, he had served as an advocate in different Lowerlevel Courts for over 18 years.

His son Nishant Patil is currently serving as the Karnataka High Court’s Additional Advocate General in the Supreme Court.
