Former KSOU VC no more

Mysore/Mysuru: Prof. M.G. Krishnan (70), former Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, passed away yesterday afternoon at a private hospital in Bengaluru following brief illness. He leaves behind his wife Malathi and son Vikas. Last rites were performed in Bengaluru today.

A native of Maarasinganahalli in Maddur taluk of Mandya, he served as the Professor of Political Science at Bangalore University besides serving as the Director of Adult Education for sometime before serving as the VC of KSOU in Mysuru from 2013 to 2016. After retiring from service, Prof. Krishnan shifted to Bengaluru and was residing at Chandra Layout there.
