Former KSOU VC welcomes Government decision on Distance Education courses

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. N.S. Ramegowda, former Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysuru, has welcomed the Government’s decision to allow only city-based KSOU to run Distance Education courses in the State.

In a press release, Dr. Ramegowda said that following public demand, the State Government set up Karnataka State Open University  in Mysuru over 20 years ago. Now the Government’s declaration that only KSOU can run Distance Education courses among State-run Universities is a welcome move, for which he is thankful to the Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister, who is also the Higher Education Minister, he said.
