CBSE’s 10th, 12th exam cancellation welcomed

June 26, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: The decision by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) to cancel the remaining Class 10 and Class 12 exams has been welcomed by CBSE, ICSE & State Board Private School Managements Association (CISPMAM), Mysuru President Sudhakar Shetty.

The CBSE Board told the Supreme Court yesterday that the scheme has been set up where Class 12 students will be assessed on the basis of last 3 exams. Students will also have an option to opt for exams that are to be conducted later.

In a press release, Shetty stated that the decision will provide great relief to the parents, schools and children who are tormented by the COVID-19 pandemic. “The same yardstick could have been applied by the State Government to the SSLC exams and we had requested accordingly to the Government. But the Government decided to go ahead with the examinations,” Shetty added.
