Former Mayor opposes re-introduction of UPOR

June 3, 2018

Mysuru:  Former Mayor B.L. Bhyrappa has opposed the re-introduction of Urban Property Ownership Record (UPOR) by Mysore City Corporation (MCC) and Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) which literally had gone under wraps over the part couple of years.

Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here recently, Bhyrappa recalled that UPOR had already created a lot of confusion among property owners in city. He pointed out that MCC had re-launched the drive to ensure all property owners to possess the UPOR from May 28 by visiting every property in city. He urged the Deputy Commissioner to put a hold on the UPOR issue.

He suggested MCC and MUDA officials to wait till the announcement of District In-charge Minister who can convene a meeting of officials concerned and review the decision on imposition of UPOR.
