Former Minister attacks HDK for forgetting that he is a CM and being only Nikhil’s father

Mysuru:  Taking strong exception to the functioning style of Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy (HDK) during this elections, former Minister and BJP State Spokesperson S. Suresh Kumar charged that the CM is so involved with his son’s election in Mandya Lok Sabha that he has forgotten that he is the Chief Minister of the State.

Addressing media persons after seeking votes for BJP candidate Pratap Simha with advocates at the City Court Complex here yesterday, he said that the Chief Minister has disappeared from the State. As Nikhil Kumaraswamy’s father he is seen only in the election campaign for his son but has forgotten his duties as CM even though the State is facing several problems.

Even though JD(S) has secular in its name, it is practising caste politics and hence we have to struggle to find the meaning of secular. The way independent candidate Sumalatha is being attacked by the leaders of JD(S) and the language used against her, does not bring any credit to the party claiming secular credentials, he condemned.

Stating that it was not correct to say that when cinema stars are with them (JD-S) then they are twin bullocks and if they are with others then the same bullocks become thieves, he said that the JD(S) leaders should learn to respect everyone.

However, CM HDK has forgotten his responsibilities. The lack of understanding between Congress and JD(S) will benefit BJP. The State Government’s Coordination Committee Chairman Siddharamaiah has failed to bring the coalition partners together, he said attacking Siddharamaiah. “The work that Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha has done and the welfare schemes that PM Modi has given to the people will work in the party’s favour and a minimum of 22 seats out of 28 will be won by the party candidates. People are in favour of PM Modi,” he said.
