K.R. Nagar: Stating that arrogance has creeped into CM Siddharamaiah’s head after assuming power, former MP A.H. Vishwanath said that the CM had become insensitive to the plight of senior leaders in the Congress party.
Addressing a meeting of his followers at Sangolli Rayanna Samudaya Bhavan here yesterday, Vishwanath said that it was he who brought Siddharamaiah to the Congress, despite opposition from several Congress leaders. But he was now being insulted by Siddharamaiah, who has chosen to sideline him, he remarked.
Pointing out that Yashaswini, mid-day meal scheme, Sthree Shakthi Sangha and such other schemes were his brain child, Vishwanath maintained that he was a politician who grew up among the masses.
Stating that he has been associated with the Congress for over 40 years, Vishwanath said that many parties have invited him to join them and added that he was deeply pained about the affairs in the Congress, which was like a mother to him.
Announcing that he was not willing to continue in the Congress with all these humiliations, Vishwanath called upon his followers to come up with their opinions on his joining other party after quitting Congress.
