Mysore/Mysuru: University of Mysore (UoM) Department of Geography former Co-ordinator Prof. Ramu, who retired recently, was felicitated at a programme organised by the University’s Centre for Geoinformatics at Vijnana Bhavan in Manasagangothri campus here on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. N.K. Lokanath said, as the UoM Vice-Chancellor, it was his responsibility to honour Prof. Ramu, who had served the University with total dedication for over 30 years.
Pointing out that Prof. Ramu had developed the University’s Centre for Geoinformatics to a great extent, he said that the Professor had served the University with deep commitment. His dedication, commitment and determination are an inspiration to the students, teaching faculty and other staff. Prof. Lokanath wished Prof. Ramu a distinguished retired life and good health.
