Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Institute for Management Development (SDM-IMD), Mysuru and Centre for Sports and Management Studies (CS&MS) have organised a ‘Sports Talk’ by former Tennis Player and ATP Champion Somdev Kishore Devvarman on Feb. 27 (Monday) at 4 pm at SDM-IMD auditorium.

Somdev, who is also the Brand Ambassador for ‘Sports Management Courses’ of the Institute, will be launching the Sports Management Courses —  One-Year PG Diploma Programme in Sports Management (PGPSM) and Three-Month Certificate Course in Sports Management (CCSM)  on the occasion. The speaker will be sharing the career opportunities for the sports enthusiasts and entrepreneurs; and professional growth for the sports persons.

Enrico Priperno, Founder Member of CS&MS, will introduce the concept of ‘Sports Management’ needed to address the fast changing and growing need of Sports Business, Sports Tourism and Sports Management. Enrico will be presenting the Sports Management Courses designed by blending the class room teaching with thought leaders lecture by sports celebrities and industry experts; internship at sports management companies, sports companies & sports leagues, and real-time assignments – aimed to help the students to get good grounding of the fundamentals of management, managerial skills to tackle the challenges in sports industry and insights in developing a rewarding career.

Dr. H. Gayathri, Programme Director and Deputy Director, SDM-IMD, will be sharing about the teaching-learning of the programme. The ‘Sport Talk’ is open for all and entry for the event is free.
