Foundation urges for civic amenities at Hunsur

September 9, 2017

Hunsur: Hunsur-based Satya MAS Foundation has urged the taluk administration to provide civic amenities in Hunsur, the home town of former Chief Minister late D. Devaraj Urs.

Addressing a press meet at the Travellers Bungalow here recently, Foundation President Satyappa said that Hunsur town has a population of 80,000. Although Hunsur became a City Municipal Council (CMC) a year ago, the town has witnessed little improvement, lacking in toilets and  drinking water.  Although the Foundation staged a protest and  submitted representations a number of times, neither the people’s representatives nor the administration has taken any action, he alleged.

He also warned of knocking on the doors of the Court if basic civic amenities such as toilets and drinking water are not adequately provided. Foundation office-bearers Varadaraj, Ravikumar Basappa, Sridhar and Pavan Kumar were present at the press meet.
