Four-day Webinar on ‘Recent Trends in Community Development’

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Social Work, Pooja Bhagavat Memorial Mahajana Education Centre – PG Wing of SBRR Mahajana First Grade College (Autonomous), KRS Road, Mysuru, is organising a four-day Webinar on ‘Recent Trends in Community Development’ starting tomorrow (July 6).

The Webinar will be inaugurated by Dr. C.K. Renukarya, Director of PBMMEC, a renowned economist and professor with 41 years of experience.

The keynote address will be delivered by Pradipta Kadambari, Senator – Purbanchal University & Principal – Kadambari Memorial College, Nepal.

The Webinar will provide the students an opportunity to learn about community camp which due to the pandemic COVID-19 cannot be conducted.

The Webinar will concentrate on various aspects of community development such as the origins of community development, registration of NGOs, social isolation and socialisation, components of community development, community mental health, environment and pollution, research and career opportunities and the role of social workers, citizens and the corporate sector in community development.

The sessions will begin at 9.30 am and will conclude by 2 pm on all days from July 6 to July 9.
