Four injured in Nano-Sumo collision

Mysuru: Four persons travelling in a Tata Nano cab were injured when a speeding Tata Sumo vehicle rammed into it while the car was waiting at the signal at St. Joseph’s Circle here yesterday afternoon.

Those injured have been identified as Shivashankar, Kavitha, Arpitha and Mahesh of Hinkal and admitted to K.R. Hospital here.

The Nano cab (KA 09 C 0850) was waiting at the signal for the light to turn green when a speeding Tata Sumo (KA 19 D 7605) coming from Hunsur side rammed into the Nano car, resulting in the Nano ramming into a Maruthi Swift car in front, damaging both the vehicles. The driver of the Tata Sumo, fled from the spot soon after the mishap leaving the vehicle behind.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
