Four sandalwood trees stolen

Mysuru: After a brief lull, sandalwood smugglers have struck again in city.

The thieves, who managed to enter the Sandalwood Factory on Mysuru-H.D. Kote Road late on Thursday night, managed to cut four fully grown sandalwood trees and managed to flee from the spot along with cut pieces of sandalwood in the dead of night.

The incident came to light on Friday morning. There were eight Security Guards guarding the area on Thursday night, it is learnt.

Ashokapuram Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
