Mysuru: As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bharath Hospital & Institute of Oncology (BHIO) has organised a free breast cancer screening for women above 18 years at its Daycare Clinic in Kuvempunagar on Oct. 4 and 17 from 10 am onwards.

As part of the initiative, women will be offered Thermalytix, an AI-powered breast screening test, along with a free consultation. The screening is non-contact, painless and involves no visual exposure or radiation.

The screening camp aims to raise awareness about breast cancer and encourage women to undergo regular screening for early detection.

Dr. G.H. Abhilash, Consultant Medical Oncologist and Hemato Oncologist at BHIO said, “Breast cancer accounts for 14% of all cancer cases among Indian women. Early detection plays a crucial role in improving treatment outcomes and can enhance the chances of successful treatment. Women above 18 years can avail screening.”
