Free Covid test held at Kukkarahalli; 5 test positive

Mysore/Mysuru: Five residents of Kukkarahalli area tested positive for COVID-19 during free testing held  here on Sunday under the leadership of Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra.

As per request by the MLA, the Health Department had organised a free RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) for residents of Kukkarahalli during which five persons tested positive in RAT and were advised home quarantine immediately. The results  RT-PCR test of others are pending.

In total, around 70 persons got tested for COVID-19. Nagendra gave away medicine kit to                                                   positive patients and asked them to take rest. 

The MLA said the State Government has limited RT-PCR test to 50 per centre. But, Health Department can conduct more testing in the area for the sake of poor patients. 

The testing was held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Community Hall. Ward No. 21 Corporator C. Vedavati, Ramesh, Naveen Kukkarahalli and Chandru, all local BJP leaders were present.
