Free health camp for artistes and writers on Apr.29

Mysuru: The Department of Kannada and Culture has organised a free health and eye check-up camp for poor artistes and writers on Apr. 29 at 10.30 am at Kalamandira here.

Disclosing this at a press meet at Pathrakarthara Bhavan here on Tuesday, Department Assistant Director H. Channappa said that the camp would screen the artistes and writers for blood pressure, diabetes, cardiac, respiratory and renal problems along with cancer and eye problems.

He added that Narayana Hrudayalaya and Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Eye Hospital were the joint organisers for the camp which will be inaugurated by Rajyotsava awardee Bannur Kempamma. Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep will preside, he said.
