Bengaluru:  Lalithamma, wife of freedom fighter H.S. Doreswamy, passed away here yesterday. She  was 89.

Lalithamma, who was suffering from age-related ailments and multi-organ failure, was admitted to BMCU Emergency and Trauma Care Hospital and was later shifted to Jayadeva Hospital, where she breathed her last, according to family sources.

She leaves behind her centenarian husband H.S. Doreswamy, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Her body will be kept at her house in fourth ‘T’ Block in Jayanagar here for public to pay their last respects and her body will be donated to KIMS Hospital, said H.S. Doreswamy.
