Suttur Mutt, Mysuru: Freedom fighters — T. Puttanna, Y.C. Revanna, B. Lingaiah, Dr. M. Somashekaraiah, H.N. Ashwathnarayan and H.N. Mysuru Travels Association celebrated the 75th I-Day by hoisting the National Flag at its office premises. On the occasion, Defence Veteran Puttaswamy was felicitated for serving the Nation in Indian Air Force. He is seen with (standing from left) Secretary Ashoka, President C.A. Muslim Co-operative Bank Ltd. celebrated the 75th Independence Day at its Head Office on New Sayyaji Rao Road in city. Bank President Dr. Abdul Ravoof unfurled the Tricolour. Vice-President Ahmed Saleem Ahmed, CEO Raffath Zareen, Bank Directors, Managing Committee Members, staff and KD and Pigmy Collectors were present on the occasion.

Mysuru Jilla Pandal Malikara Sangha celeb-rated I-Day near ARM Furnishers & Decorators in Rajivnagar under the guidance of Hon. President M.P. Shivakumar, Abdul Rehaman Haroon, Hon. Vice-President, Karnataka State Pandal Owners’ Association.

Santhosh of Santhosh Furnishers & Decorators and Nowshad Khan Durani of Karnataka Furnishers & Decorators, Mandi Mohalla, Mysuru, hoisted the Tricolour.

Taj Mohd., Taj Tent House, compered. Amjad Pasha of ARM Furnishers & Decorators, Rajivnagar, introduced the guests. Waseem, Secretary, welcomed. Note books and stationery items were distributed to more than 100 students. Senior citizens Santhosh, Nowshad Khan Durani, Abdul Rehaman Haroon were feted with garland, Mysuru Peta, shawl and fruits.

Nagaraj, Treasurer, Vega-nanda, Secretary, Mohd. Shamsheer, Anil Kumar, Waseem Akram, Manjunath, Press Secretary of Sangha, Zaheer, G.S. Furnishers, Siraj, Khaleel Ahmed, Sait Furnishers, Waseem, A.R. Furnishers, Mamu, Bharath Furnishers, Mudasir Ali Khan, Advocate, office-bearers, pandal shop owners, labours and area residents participated.

Rainbow Public School celebrated the 75th I-Day in city. School Chairman C.A. Cariappa hoisted the Tricolour along with CEO Sujani Cariappa, Golu Kaveri and Principal Antony. Teachers sang patriotic songs. The students witnessed the programme virtually live from their homes. They also participated in different activities online.

Mysore Old Age Home Charitable Trust: The Mysore Old Age Home Charitable Trust celebrated the 75th I-Day event in Old Age Home premises with its inmates.

Dr. Rajeshwari Devi from Kidwai Institute of Oncology, first lady Onco-Surgeon in Karnataka and currently posted as the District Surgeon, Mysuru, Asifa Basheer, DO – Minority Welfare Department, Mysuru, Dr. Iftheqar Ahmed, Director, Al-Ansar Hospital, Mysuru, Dr. Farahath Khanum, ‘Indian Scientist of the Year Award’ winner and retd. Scientist, DFRL, Mysuru, Dr. Nayaz Pasha, RMO, District Hospital, Mysuru, Shaikh Maqsood-Ul-Hussain, President of Old Age Home, Dr. Bushra Begam and Thaseen Begum spoke on the occasion.

Sayeda Talath welcomed the guests. Zainab Muneer, Female Wing Member, compered. Syeda Uzma Jabeen proposed a vote of thanks.

Radiulla Khan, Member, DCC and PRO, Farooqia Dental College, Mysuru, felicitated Shaik Maqsood-Ul-Hussain and Dr. Nayaz Pasha for their yeomen service to Old Age Home.

Jamsheed Baig Ashrafi, ex-Press Secretary, DCC Minority Department, Mysuru, was present on the occasion.
