Mysore/Mysuru: B.S. Shivaprasad, a native of T. Doddapura in Talakad hobli, T. Narasipur taluk, Mysuru, who began his humble journey as a newspaper distributor, has now earned a Ph.D degree in Commerce from the University of Mysore (UoM).

His thesis titled ‘Customers’ Perception of Green Banking Products – A Comparative Study of Public and Private Banks in Bengaluru District’ was submitted under the guidance of Dr. A.S. Gurudath.

An M.Com degree holder from Bangalore University, Shivaprasad started newspaper distribution near Navrang Theatre in Bengaluru when he was in 7th standard and later went on to become a newspaper agent.

Son of Shivashankar and Shanthamma couple, Shivaprasad is currently working as Assistant Professor at St. Claret College in Bengaluru and also runs his newspaper agency.
