Futile attempt to rob Khadi Shop close to MLA’s house

September 14, 2018

Mandya:  In a bid to make a fast buck during Gowri-Ganesha festival, burglars made a futile bid to rob a Khadi Emporium located close to Mandya MLA M. Srinivas’ residence on PES Engineering College Road in Mandya late last night.

The burglars, who are learnt to be three in number, made repeated bids to break open the shutter of the Khadi Emporium to gain entry into the shop. But their attempts proved futile as the shutter was heavily secured. The act of the burglars has been captured in a CCTV camera installed outside the shop.

While two burglars, one of them wearing a P-cap, attempted to force open the iron shutter, the third one kept a watch closeby, as per the footages retrieved from the CCTV cameras. The robbery attempt at the shop very close to the MLA’s house has become a cause of worry for nearby residents. Mandya West Police, who have registered a case in this regard, have launched a hunt to nab the burglars.
