Gallons of water goes waste as pipe bursts near Ballal Circle

August 10, 2025

Mysuru, Aug. 10 (BLU&DM)- In yet another case of negligence on the part of authorities, a large quantity of precious drinking water has gone down the drain for the past couple of days following a pipe burst near the traffic signal at Ballal Circle.

The negligence and apathy of Vani Vilas Water Works (VVWW) staff has left gallons of drinking water going waste and causing inconvenience to motorists and pedestrians.

Questions are being raised on why the VVWW staff have not bothered to repair the broken pipe, even as the authorities organise campaigns for creating public awareness on the importance of saving and conserving precious drinking water.

With the concerned authorities failing to repair the broken pipe even after days of pipe burst, the general public are left wondering why the authorities do not practise what they preach and waste money on creating awareness, by engaging NGOs.
