Ganesha Pandal: Obtain NoC for power connections

August 31, 2019

With Ganesha festival on Sept.2, the CESC has appealed Ganapati pandal organisers to ensure that pandals are not erected under EHT/HT/LT power lines and that they should get information from officials on the safe distance to be maintained from Overhead power-lines. In a press release, CESC Superintending Engineer K.M. Munigopalaraju said that the pandal organisers should obtain NoC (No Objection Certificate) from the MCC, local bodies, Police and Fire Brigade to seek temporary power connection upon payment of the prescribed fee. Also, they should mandatorily get permission of the Electrical Supervisor at points where more than 100 people are expected to gather.
