Gang attacks driver, flees away with truck and fertiliser

Mysuru: The Police have intensified their investigation to search for the gang which drove away a truck transporting fertilisers worth Rs. 2 lakh on Wednesday.

According to the Police, Ashok, the truck driver, left Bandipalya in Mysuru on Tuesday night with the fertilisers towards Periyapatna.

On reaching Panchavalli village, Ashok parked the truck on the road side to take some rest. A while later, gang of four members attacked Ashok near Hunsur and tied up to a tree and made away with the fertiliser-laded truck at around 2.30 am on Wednesday.

Periyapatna Police have registered a case and are investigating.
