February 4, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: Accusing the University authorities of supplying poor quality food, inmates of University of Mysore (UoM) New Post-Graduate Mens Hostel in Manasagangotri campus, staged a snap stir in front of the Hostel yesterday.

Alleging that the food supply contractor is not supplying good quality food grains and vegetables, the protestors claimed that consumption of poor quality food has caused damage to their health.

UoM Vice-Chancellor Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar who arrived at the spot, heard the grievances of the Hostel inmates. The students withdrew their protest after the V-C assured of forming a committee to check the quality of food grain supplies.

Mahesh Sosale, Manikantaswamy, Pramod Kote, Madesh, Venkatesh and others took part in the protest.
