Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police have arrested a ganja peddler and have seized about 6-kg ganja, which he had purchased from Andhra Pradesh to sell the same in city.

The accused has been identified as a 40-year-old resident of Ghousianagar.

NR Sub-Inspector S.K. Ganesh and staff Sanjay Pawar, Basavaraju and Rathankumar, were on their regular patrolling on Kesare-Naidu Nagar Road on Friday when they saw a pedestrian carrying a large plastic bag. On seeing the Cops, the pedestrian threw away the bag and began to flee only to be chased by the Police, who caught hold of him.
