We had a problem of garbage burning near our apartment complex that was creating heartache (and more pressing breathing problems!) for many in our area.
I approached Bhamy Shenoy of MGP for help. He suggested that I get in touch with AEE Mruthyunjaya of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) to take action on the problem.
Within a day of our writing to the AEE, he visited the area, talked to the perpetrators and warned them against persisting with the practice, and, I think, levied a stiff fine.
He also kept us in the loop and gave us feedback on his actions. Hopefully, at least the callous actions of these particular miscreants have been stopped in their tracks.
It was really heartening to see how swiftly and efficiently our complaint was handled. We would like to thank AEE Mruthyunjaya and also Shenoy, who gave us initial guidance so that we did not have to run from pillar to post to sort out the issue.
