I would like to draw the attention of the MCC authorities to the garbage being dumped regularly near Banumaiah’s College on Udayagiri Water Tank Road.

The accumulated waste is creating an unhygienic and unpleasant environment for residents, students, pedestrians and motorists using the road. The garbage also attracts stray animals, insects and rodents, apart from emanating foul smell.

Despite the issue being brought to the notice of the officials concerned several times, no action has been taken so far. If the dumping continues unchecked, the pile of garbage will only grow and become a bigger problem.

The authorities should immediately clear the waste and take steps to prevent people from dumping garbage at the spot. Warning boards could be installed and action taken against those found dumping waste illegally.

I request the dynamic MCC Commissioner M.K. Savitha and her team of officials, who are on inspection-spree, to treat this as a public sanitation issue and take immediate action to keep the area clean.
