Garbage menace by Govt. girls’ hostel inmates

May 11, 2024

Sir,

We, the residents of Yashodharanagar, Bogadi 2nd Stage (North), wish to bring to the attention of officials concerned the careless behaviour of the inmates of a hostel in our vicinity (Government Post-Matric Girls Hostel).

For the past five years, since the establishment of the girls’ hostel in our area, we have been grappling with the issue of garbage and plastic being discarded haphazardly in vacant plots surrounding the hostel.

Despite our repeated appeals to dispose of waste through regular collectors from the Mysuru City Corporation and refrain from burning it, our pleas have fallen on deaf ears. The students persist in dumping garbage outside the compound, necessitating monthly clean-ups due to the unbearable stench.

We implore the department officials concerned to address this matter urgently and take necessary action.
