Garbage on Lalithadripura Road irks daily walkers

June 15, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Garbage dumped on Lalithadripura Road near Lalitha Mahal helipad has irked morning and evening walkers, who have urged the authorities concerned to get the same cleared as it is spoiling the environment.

Daily walkers on this route and also tourists who take this road to JSS Ayurveda Hospital, Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre (IVAC) and Chamundi Hill are greeted by garbage strewn carelessly on this road. From household garbage to building debris, all are dumped here and the place looks pathetic. Regular walkers often complain that people come and throw even animal waste which has made this place stink.

The walkers said that the Swachh Bharat initiative will go a waste if citizens and authorities concerned don’t act with responsibility to keep the city clean.
