Geetha Barki (56), a resident of Jayanagar, passed away following illness at a private hospital in city yesterday.

She has served as a teacher at Sree Cauvery School, Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala and as a Principal at Chitra School.

She leaves behind her husband Murali Barki, one son, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill today.
