Generator battery stolen from Mysuru Court premises

July 16, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Thieves have made away with the battery of a generator at the new Court complex at Malalawadi in Jayanagar.

To prevent disruption in Court proceedings due to frequent power failures, an automatic generator fitted with a battery was installed. But about a week back, there was power disruption and the generator did not switch on automatically, following which the person who had installed the generator was contacted by the Court staff.

Soon, an electrician arrived and inspected the generator during which the theft of the battery came to light.

Following a complaint from the Chief Accounts Officer of Senior Civil Judge and CJM Court, Ashokapuram Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
