Mandya: Close to the heels of the State Government shunting out DIG Roopa for exposing irregularities in Parappana Agrahara Jail, Nagabhushan, a senior geologist of the Mines and Geology Department, who had issued a notice to a stone quarry belonging to a  close relative of Mandya MP C.S. Puttaraju for payment of fine for violating rules, has  been transferred.

But Nagabhushan has stated that there is no political intervention in his transfer as he had voluntarily sought the transfer as he had served for three years.  

Meanwhile, RTI activist K.R. Ravindra, condemning the transfer of Nagabhushan has alleged that CM Siddharamaiah was encouraging illegal quarrying in Mandya district.
