GIAN prog. on Energy, Sustainability and Life Cycle Risk Analysis

The Department of Electronics and Communication of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) is organising a two-week course from Feb. 13 to 24 on Energy, Sustainability and Life Cycle Risk Analysis.

The programme will be inaugurated on Feb. 13 at 10 am at Golden Jubilee Bhavan, Seminar Hall, inside SJCE premises. Dr. B.G. Sangameshwara, Vice-Chancellor of JSS Science and Technology University, Dr. C. Ranganathaiah, Director, Technical Education, JSSMVP and Dr. T.N. Nagabhushan, Principal, SJCE, will be present.

The course will be delivered by Arun Kumar from San Diego, California, who is a passionate advocate of sustainability and renewable energy solutions. For the past seven years, he has been working in the renewable energy industry.

He is also the Co-Founder of GREPI (Global Renewable Energy and Power Inc.) with focus on training the next generation of energy workforce and development of RE (Renewable Energy) systems and Biofuels for various segments.

The course is being conducted under a Government of India initiative called Global Initiatives for Academic Networks  (GIAN) Programme.

SJCE is one of the three institutions selected under Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) as host institute for the prestigious GIAN programme.

This programme provides an opportunity to both the host institute and the participants to establish collaboration with the foreign institute/organisations to further strengthen the cooperation, share knowledge and technology, and eventually strive for the betterment of  the society. Eminent experts and researchers from foreign countries will be sharing their views and teaching during their two-week knowledge sharing  session at SJCE.
