Giraffe & Hippopotamus calves born at Mysuru Zoo

A Hippopotamus and a female Giraffe was born at Mysuru Zoo on May 16 and 26 respectively. While Hippopotamus calf was born to Krishna & Jaleshi Hippopotamus, the female Giraffe calf was born to Krishnaraja & Kushi Giraffes. Both the mothers are nursing their babies very well and feeding the calves.

Also, the Zoo Veterinarians are taking all precautionary measures for the well-being of both the mothers and the calves, according to a press release from Zoo Executive Director C. Ravishankar.
