Girija Kalyana Saptaha from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4

As part of Girija Kalyana Saptaha, Parampare, a unique cultural organisation in Mysuru will be presenting lecture series based on Shivapurana, Shivatatvachintamani and ‘Girijakalyana Mahaprabandha’ of Harihara in city from Jan. 29 to Feb. 4. Presenting classi-cal literature to public is its main purpose. Relevant songs, veerabhadra kunitha and kolata have been included this time.

Dr. Jyothy Shankara, Kannada Professor, writer of Nrutyaroopakas and a versatile vykhanakarti will deliver these lectures at Ganapathi temple, ‘I’ Block, Ramakrishnanagar, from 6 pm to 8 pm daily.

Gayatri Sathyanarayana, Savigana Dasavani troupe, Ramakrishnanagar; Jan. 30: Daksha Dahana by disciples of Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar of Surabhi Gana Kalamandira, Gokulam; Jan. 31: Parvathiya Janana by students of Vidu. Shubha Raghavendra of Swarasagara Music Foundation, Ramakrishnanagar; Feb. 1: Tarakasura Yuddha by   Padmavathi Mahadev of Sayi Soudamini trope, Ramakrishna-nagar; Feb.2: Kamada Dahana by disciples of Pushpa Vidya Shankara, Sri Sharada Music School, Ramakrishnanagar;  Feb. 3: Parvathiya Tapassu, Parvathi Parameshwarara Vivaha by students of Srilatha of Vagdhevi Music Shool, Srirampura 2nd Stage; Feb. 4: Girja Kalyana Puja Mahotsava— 8 am Puja rituals; 12.30 pm Mahamangalarthi and distributiion of prasada.
