Girija Kalyanotsava at N’gud temple from June 26 to July 3: No entry for devotees

The entry of devotees to Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple in Nanjangud town is restricted during Sri Girija Kalyanotsava to be held from June 26 to July 3 in view of total lockdown imposed by the State Government to check COVID-19 pandemic.

In a press release here, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bagadi Gautham said the order on restricting the general public has been issued under Karnataka Epidemic Diseases (COVID-19) Regulations-2020 and Disaster Management Act, 2005. The rituals must be restricted inside the temple as per tradition and in the presence of priests, temple officers and staff members, he said.
